Cats to the Fifth Power

I choose Catmoji.com for my website to look at hyperlinking. This site deals with people posting pictures of cats and you can communicate with other cat lovers.

One of the hyperlinks is to Facebook in order to get people to like the site and spread word about it. The other links I've noticed deal with linking to outside articles about the site. This helps people get outside perspectives of the site to see if they want to join. It is an attempt to add some credibility or to make the site seem even better.

The Facebook link has an obvious draw to it, since it's in the top left corner with a heart as the start of the drop down menu. It makes you think if you love the site you will like it on Facebook. The outside news articles help to enhance and better understand the website. If other sites have been commenting and writing about the site then more people like it. The site is seen as more popular. The links to the articles are underneath quotes from those articles, so it makes you want to read more of the articles.

  1. This site sounds great. And it sounds like they do a great job of marketing themselves without turning of the visitors. Which is really hard to do.
